aerobics equipmentQuestion by You have a question…: What’s the best excersise to lose belly fat and shape glutes?
I need to lose some flab on my abdominals and glutes. So, what are the best excersises? I have all the time I need, but no gym equipment except a mat. I do 75 crunches but I feel it isn’t getting me anywhere. I eat healthy and try to ignore cravings.
So, what can I do?
I’m 13, about 200 pounds and 5’6″.

You do cardio like walking or aerobics to lose the flab. Crunches only build muscle in the belly area, and arent big calorie burners.
Id suggest walking an hour a day, briskly, usually after dinner to burn up to 500 calories. If you did that weekly youd burn 3500 calories of fat which is a pound. Over a month, 4 pounds, and so on…
Alternate your crunch days. The abs need 36 hours to 48 hours to heal and compensate in growth between workouts. Working them every day will leave them overtrained, and little if any growth will be noticed over time. They will actually weaken from to much stimulation and no rest period. The same goes for all muscles in the body, yet the bigger the muscle, the more time they need to recover
Try some lying leg raises(on back and side), pushups, full sit ups, and various stretches to add to your crunch regimen every other day. The added stimulus to the other muscle groups will burn more cals, and develope more muscle which will consume more cals at a resting state.
ex/rx.com and abcbodybuilding.com are some sites to look into which may expand your exercise regimine….
…Oh, and nutritiondata.com is worth looking into for nutrition information.
Oh…for glutes I would suggest do some dumbell deadlifts to build them up further. Youll have to spring for some 25 lb dumbbells, yet it’ll be worth it. Do 3 sets of as many as you can but no more than ten. Do those on crunch days.
Good luck!
