Q&A: How does an aerobics instructor stay fit?
aerobicsQuestion by Miss Fit: How does an aerobics instructor stay fit?
I have been teaching aerobics part time for a little while now. I enjoy teaching, however, it’s been rough on my body. I am already skinny and it seems as if I have been loosing not only more fat but muscle too! I have lost a good 8lbs and it’s not for the better. I would like to bulk up, show a good amount of definition, and be able to maintain a steady weight while teaching. Any suggestions?

Aerobics is a lot of cardio. You might try and add some resistance training into your work-outs outside of your aerobics’ classes. Also, beef up on protein and maybe some fats so that you actually have stuff to burn off.

Cardio exercise can eat away at your muscle if you do too much. To maintain/gain muscle, start lifting weights.
The Body Sculpting Bible for Women by James Villepigue (Author), Hugo A. Rivera (Author)
I’ve read The body sculpting bible for men- it’s a great read. It gives both mental advice (how to think when you are training) and physical advice (how to use perfect form when lifting). It’ll give you realistic expectations for weight gain or weight loss.
