I need to get on an aerobics program to keep in shape, but I don’t know what is good exercise and what isn’t. What could I do in half an hour to get in shape?

The trick is interval training. At 13 years old, your bones are too young and you shouldn’t necessarily lift weights. Therefore, better options would be intervals of sprints, jump roping, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, biking, etc. Running is also very beneficial. On youtube you can often find workout videos that include short intervals of different workouts that keep the body guessing and your heart rate fluctuating for maximum benefits.

in my city, there is a show on PBS at about 5:30 am that has a aerobics program but it’s geared more toward older women I think. If you are young, you could probably do more than what they show. Doesn’t ESPN still have aerobics on? They used to but I haven’t watched it in a long time. Look through your cable channels and find a show. Or if you really want to get lean, you could buy that P90X program. I wouldn’t buy it because you could pretty much create your own workout routine by just going on youtube and doing some searches and then writing down some exercises in a journal. Search “aerobic routine” or “aerobic exercises”. Also, there is a girl on youtube with username “charliejames1975” who does a 15 to 20 minute high intensity workout. I highly recommend that because it’s very high intensity and it really revs up your metabolism. Look up “charliejames1975” on youtube, without the quotations.
